About The Green Energy Team
The Green Energy Team Limited is the Renewable Energy division of Blueflame (Colchester) Ltd (trading as Blueflame Services) which was founded in 1987 by Tony Schatten and Kevin Bull, both remain as current directors.
 Tony and Kevin both began their careers working for British Gas, where they were given good skills and provided with a high degree of training and technical support. Blueflame Services are now well established as a highly experienced company providing domestic, commercial and industrial gas, oil, electrical and heating engineering services plus renewable energy solution coverage across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk

 Health & Safety
Blueflame Services have a strong health and safety ethic towards all work. To reinforce this they are approved members of the Safe Contractor scheme which is an independent accreditation scheme that assesses the health and safety competency of contractors and service providers. Gas & Oil Services
Blueflame Services are both Gas Safe Registered (as required by statute) and CORGI registered. Culminatively across their engineering staff are qualified to undertake most of the individual gas, electrical and plumbing certification disciplines - both for domestic and commercial projects - as covered by CORGI. This accreditation provides recognition that Blueflame Services gas engineers performs effectively and safely, and provides consumer assurance in their management systems for safe gas work. Blueflame are registered members of, and qualified by OFTEC (Oil Firing Technical Engineering Association), which ensures that their their engineers are independently assessed to a government recognised professional status and competency in oil firing heating and cooking related works. Electrical Services
Blueflame Services are registered members of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA 108694). The ECA is one of the largest trade associations and recognised by the government , commerce and industry as the authoritative voice in the electrical industry. Blueflame Services engineers are also members of, and qualified by ELECSA (ELECSA 31188); who provide high standard inspection, assessment and certification services for the electrical industry. Solar & Renewable Energy Services
The Green Energy Team are a registered and approved installer for the UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) as supported by the Government Department for Energy and Climate Change, and respected non-government industry groups.
Only through using an MCS installer and approved products may customers be eligible for any local authority grants or included in any renewable energy initiatives. Further they will can always be assured of work being completed to the highest standards. Blueflame are also accredited members of the REAL (Renewable Energy Assurance Limited) Scheme, which further ensures they meet a compliance code for quality and best practice installation, plus the REIGA (Renewable Energy Installation Guarantee Agency) scheme which not only ensures highest standards of installation, but further provides a 10 year guarantee on all renewable energy devices.
